High Fives Foundation Hosts 2019 Warren Miller’s “Timeless” Ski Movie Premiere

RENO, NV: The crispness in the air means winter is coming, and with winter comes ski movie premieres! As the season turns, skiers and snowboarders in the Reno/Tahoe area come out in droves to catch the newest ski movies and get excited about the upcoming season.

This year, the High Fives Foundation is hosting the 2019 Warren Miller Ski Movie “Timeless.” The ski expo and charity event will take place at The Reno Ballroom inside Silver Legacy Resort on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Warren Miller films have entertained skiers since 1950. Though Miller stopped narrating the films in 1988 and sadly passed away in 2018, the legendary fun continues. Skiers and outdoor sports enthusiasts come together every year to enjoy the newest Warren Miller film and celebrate their local community.

This year’s premiere will feature Warren Miller’s “Timeless,” the 70th full-length movie in the series presented by Volkswagen. High Fives Foundation will also show its 10th installment of BASICS (Being Aware Safe in Critical Situations) promoting safety and awareness while skiing and snowboarding in-bounds at resorts and in the backcountry. The documentary film “Ten Years of Safety” will also be shown preceding “Timeless.”

Local celebrity athletes JT Holmes, Amie Engerbretson, and Connery Lundin will be in attendance, as will the founder of High Fives Foundation, Roy Tuscany. It will be a night celebrating all things winter!

“Growing up, I would rush to the ticket office to purchase tickets to annual Warren Miller Movie each year as a child and teenager,” says Roy Tuscany, CEO of High Fives Foundation. “Now, being able to host, produce and have the Foundation benefit from the annual show in Reno- this is the definition of a full circle.”

All premiere attendees will receive a voucher for a two-for-one free single-day lift ticket at Squaw Valley/ Alpine Meadows valid Monday through Friday for the 2019/2020 season. Blackout dates do apply. Ski and snowboard vendors will be present at the event showcasing their brands. The night will also include a raffle where participants can win plenty of fun prizes and swag.

Warren Miller’s “Timeless” Reno premiere will take place Nov. 1, 2019, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The Reno Ballroom, 401 North Center Street, Reno, NV.
