Dr. Troy Shields is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee and elbow. He earned his medical degree from University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno. Dr. Shields completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Loma Linda University and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine California where he received advanced clinical and surgical training in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries of the shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow.

Dr. Shields strives to provide high quality evidence-based care for his patients. He believes listening to his patients symptoms and explaining their diagnoses and all treatment options is of the upmost importance, so shared decision making can be made to best guide their recovery.
